Nathan Dawkins ( Willem Dafoe) - A scientist working in the Department of Paranormal Activities, he is first met when Jodie's foster mother consults him on Jodie's condition.

Initially, Aiden is afraid of the monsters that would come in the night to attack her - he eventually learned to fend them off when Jodie sleeps in the DPA facility for the first time. He acts as a proxy for her sometimes absent self-preservation, and will, to the best of his abilities, prevent injury and death. Despite being mischievous, and often times malicious in how often he goes too far, he genuinely cares for Jodie.

Aiden - The secondary main character and deuteragonist of the game.

She is able to bounce back from most, if not all, her troubles with relative ease. Despite all the adversity she has faced her entire life - lied to, betrayed, abandoned, assaulted - she still has a kind heart, though bitter. Since birth, Jodie has had a strange psychic connection with a mysterious entity named Aiden, through whom she can perform many strange and often frightening telepathic acts, such as possessing peoples' minds, strangling them to death, and manipulating certain objects.

With that being said, Beyond looks awesome and it is cool that there is another big name actor in the mix. I’m sure it is a corporate scratch my back and I’ll scratch your back kinda thing, but it is extremely silly to promote the supposed killer of the video game industry. If 2nd hand sales were such an issue, wouldn’t you distance yourself far away from that kind of company if it hurts your bottom line so much? Yes, these people will be buying a new game with their pre-order, but it still is a feather in Gamestop’s hat by getting people in their doors and getting people to shop there. Why would you encourage gamers to shop and Gamestop if they were such a detriment to the industry with their business practices? THEN you go ahead and partner with the biggest reseller of video games on the planet to promote your games and get people in the doors of Gamestop with exclusive content. All these publishers and developers all complain about 2nd hand sales and that 2nd hand sales are ruining the industry.
